How To Make French Toast

We at Adelaide Appliance Gallery know that #Adulting can be hard. Maybe you have just moved out of home and are learning the ropes of cooking and cleaning your house. Well, this series is for you!

French toast is one of those weekend brekkies that really does nourish the soul. It’s also really great for using up any old bread you may have lurking around your pantry. This sweet or savoury dish can impress any guests you may have to stay the night or just fill your tum at any time of the day.

Like all cooking, you need to have some decent cookware and appliances to get the best results. An old crummy frying pan with peeling Teflon is not going to do the trick and if you don’t have a decent cooktop then you will probably end up with either overcooked (aka burnt) or mushy raw french toast.

So what is French toast? In case you don’t know what a French toast is, it is that dish that comes from soaking stale bread in milk and eggs before frying it. The original French toasts are creamy and crispy inside and brown on the outside. You can then decorate the top with something that is sweet like sugar, fruit or maple syrup, butter, and fresh fruit.

If you like, you can also throw in a savoury like bacon for a maximum sweet effect. However, without the perfect Induction Cooktop, you may end up with burnt or soggy toast and a royal mess in your kitchen. Getting the best Cooktop from Adelaide Appliance Gallery is vital to achieving the perfect result, lucky for you we can help you choose the right cooktop. In fact, with proper guidance about the perfect cooktop, recipe, and ingredients, you can conveniently cook the best crispy-edged, golden, and delicious French toast and look like a pro doing it.

French Toast

Ingredients:

Beat three big eggs
300ml milk
Pinch of salt
One tablespoon of vanilla extract or a ½ tablespoonful of cinnamon
Eight large slices of bread
1 cup of milk
3 tablespoons of butter.

Method

Whisk your eggs, sugar, milk, and salt inside a mixing bowl.

Place your frying pan on the Cooktop on a medium-low temperature. Plop in a bit of butter and let it melt.
Dip a slice of bread so it soaks up the egg mixture on both sides. Don’t let it become too soggy.

Place the soaked bread into the frying pan and cook on both sides until golden.

Repeat this process until all the mixture is used up. Top your french toast with whatever you like- maple syrup, icing sugar, bacon- the choice is yours. Eat straight away.

There is no doubt that you can cook a mouthwatering French toast from the above recipe. You can always Visit the Adelaide Appliance Gallery Showroom today for more information and advice.
